Get To Know Brian

Group Leader; Mentor

Brian is L.I.F.E. In The Springs’ Vice President & Operations Assistant. Brian and Susan have been married since 1994 and they have a beautiful daughter, Sarah. Brian is a Colorado Springs native, growing up for the most part in Durango (the southwestern corner of Colorado). After high school Brian attended Ft. Lewis College in Durango and after 2 years discovered he was majoring in a hobby (Geology). After much introspection, he changed his major to psychology. In 1985, Brian discovered mountain bikes and still pursues this hobby over 30 years later. He currently leads the Colorado Springs Mountain Bike Club since 2010. By his mid twenties Brian had a heart to help people. Unable to continue college financially and experiencing/overcoming a nervous breakdown, Brian entered the workforce and spent 20 years as an auto mechanic. In 1992, Brian was introduced to Joanne Highley and L.I.F.E. Ministry teachings in New York City. This method of ministry was what Brian had been missing and he recognized the value of it. Believing the phrase, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’, Brian dreamed of being able to help people who were deeply hurt and needed help getting free from lifelong destructive, deep problems, unsure how to proceed, but were caught in isolation—mistrusting God and people. During the mid-90’s Brian was involved in Promise Keepers and in his work with them, he experienced how critical a support network is to men desiring God, but are being held in isolation by Satan. Brian believes God’s purpose for him is to begin a second ‘career’ in ministry to those who are in bondage and he is working towards this with his wife Susan, as they minister to people seeking freedom with L.I.F.E. In The Springs ministry.
